Frustrated Okay, so people are always like "If other people do memes on here, I will too because since other people do it, it is fine" and "I can use any picture that I find on the internet to make whatever I want to put on here because it's 'public domain.'" Well, it's not. But wait to throw your tomatoes until after I'm finished. Memes are totally fine on here, that is why they have a category for them. The problem is that people submit ones that do not belong to them, contain pictures that do not belong to them, and say they are their own. Just because you find a picture on the internet doesn't mean that you can sell it/do whatever you want. It belongs to the original artist.
If you take a picture and turn it into a meme, it is reasonably allowed here. If you take a famous picture that you found on Google Images and edit it to make it a meme, it is not okay. That picture is copyrighted to the original artist and you do not have the right to put it on here, even if you credit them. Ask them for permission (I know, this sounds impossible to accomplish, but it usually works)
This is DEVIANTART, not photobucket, facebook, tumblr, pintrest, or any other site where you put whatever picture you want on there. This is for artists to show off their own art so that people can see our talent, not so we can share pictures we like. That is what our Favorites are for, not our gallery. How many times do I have to say this!!

Users must be 13 and older (no body under aged!) Original Art only Don't spam anyone. If there is theft, ask them politely to remove any work under question and leave. Don't keep commenting on every piece of stolen art. You can be reported for harassment Don't falsely accuse anyone without proof (physical proof). If it is one of those maybes, ask the artist first
I will report anyone with stolen art in their gallery (includes used bases without credit, prints that are submitted without permission, etc...) I will report any memes that contain any copyrighted material I will report any user treating this like photobucket. This means anyone who submits hundreds of pictures that do not belong here. If you see any art theft, report it and spread the word. The more people that know, the more people to report the theft and the more public the issue is.
